Three lengths, in Spanish and English, in the third person. The 100-word one is the one that usually gets pasted.

100 words
Urtzi Alfaro is a strategic architect and serial technology founder based in Madrid. He publishes four ventures in production — Adarve, BakeWise, Viene de China and Port Context Engine — and one home-grown AI operating system that partly runs them. One method: nothing ships unmeasured, what is dropped gets written down, and what is not yet running is not announced. He writes Señales desde el borde, a letter every two weeks, and produces the weekly podcast Viene de China. He writes and speaks in both Spanish and English. He also trained as a telecommunications engineer at Mondragon, in northern Spain.

Urtzi Alfaro is a strategic architect and serial technology founder. He trained as a telecommunications engineer at Mondragon and has spent over a decade where strategy and technology touch: corporate transformation, product and business-model design. What he does now is the same, with one difference: he no longer explains it on a slide, he builds it and he runs it. He publishes four ventures in production. Adarve is the prompt-injection firewall for LLM apps and agents, operated in the EU, with a public playground and API from day one. BakeWise is the predictive demand and production engine for bakery chains, built so that twelve shops decide with the same quality as a five-thousand-shop multinational. Viene de China is a weekly podcast on the Chinese technology already on your street, produced with a home-grown AI pipeline and human editorial review line by line. Port Context Engine is real-time port intelligence: Singapore, Rotterdam and Los Angeles from one platform. Over the four sits one method: nothing ships unmeasured; what has not been measured is declared unmeasured; what is dropped gets written down, and why. Every published figure carries its own source and its date, and any number nobody has measured is declared unmeasured rather than dressed up as a zero. He writes Señales desde el borde, a letter every two weeks, in Spanish or English, never longer than six hundred words and always with the sources. He speaks and writes in Spanish and English, and works where strategy becomes software that runs.

Topics
Five topics, each anchored in something already running. Every topic has its own direct link: that's how you see which one is actually being booked.
LLM security: prompt injection is an architecture problem
seguridad-llm — Direct link to this topicPrompt injection is not fixed with a filter at the end of the flow. It is fixed where you decide what text enters and with what authority. Using examples from Adarve's public playground, this talk explains why LLM application security is a system-design problem, and which decisions are reversible and which are not.
Talking points
- Inbound text is data, not instructions: the authority boundary is the architecture decision.
- Scoring risk per response, not per model, is what makes the decision auditable.
- What can be fixed later and what stays nailed into the design.
Honest numbers: what we measure and what we stopped publishing
numeros-honestos — Direct link to this topicPublishing numbers costs less than standing behind them. This talk applies the house method to figures: every published number is measured on the production path; what has not been measured is declared unmeasured, and a zero is never dressed up as data. It includes the numbers we chose to withdraw, and why.
Talking points
- A number without a source and a date is not data: it is an opinion in a nice font.
- The two honest nulls — not measured and not published — never collapse into zero.
- The three figures we removed from the site, and what replaced them.
China tech: what is already on your street
china-tech — Direct link to this topicChinese technology rarely arrives in Europe with an announcement: it shows up in a scooter, a camera, an app. Following the trail of the Viene de China podcast — product by product, with Chinese sources — this talk explains, without theatre, what is being adopted and what is not.
Talking points
- Telling a real adoption from a headline: prices, waitlists, physical stores.
- What is being copied into Europe and what stayed home.
- Primary sources in Chinese, and how to verify them without fluent Chinese.
Forecasting with small data: twelve shops, not five thousand
prevision-datos-pequenos — Direct link to this topicAlmost no business has a multinational's data, and it does not need it to decide well. Using BakeWise, this talk shows how to build a per-product, per-shop demand engine when the series are short, and how to avoid the classic mistake of modelling noise.
Talking points
- With short series the useful constraint is structure, not volume.
- Invoicing and the bake plan before opening: where the day is won or lost.
- How to validate a model when there are not years of history to spend.
Automating revenue without becoming creepy: professional OSINT and its limits
osint-limites — Direct link to this topicGrowth from public data is legitimate up to a line, and that line can be drawn. This talk describes how Atalaya works — discovery, fit scoring, drafting, follow-up — and where it stops: only what people publish professionally, the source in plain sight, and one-click opt-out.
Talking points
- What counts as public professional data and what does not, with examples.
- The human approval where it matters, and why it is not automated.
- How a one-click opt-out becomes a metric rather than an exception.
